I have a pretty brief question on backin up some of my games. I know that i need to ftp over to the xbox and copy all the files from the disk to the PC HDD and then make an ISO.
1) can i make the iso using nero then burn to dvd+r

2) if i already have the game backed up on my xbox hard drive can i just ftp the files from the xbox hdd to my pc hdd then iso -> dvd+r? or do i have to pull my original game cds out of storage?

TIA

You can but should not make any xbox iso with nero. If you do the iso's will be standard fileformat and not the xbox file system.
Use a program like Qwix or Craxtion to make proper xbox iso's.
The games that already are on your hdd will be fine doing iso off. FTP them and then make an iso and burn it.

There are also a good idea to take a look over at xbox-scene (http://www.xbox-scene.com) and in their forums about gamedisc flie layout as it might be good for some games.

Hope that helps.. :)

I answered both his questions and thereafter recommended xbox-scene...

From my pov that sufficient to say the least.

thanks for the info kosmiq, i will definitely be checking out that link that you posted. out of the two Qwix and craxtion, which of the two do you find better for iso use or are they both equally good.

I prefer Qwix as Craxtion often crashes for me.. No idea why but it does.
Qwix is stable, fast and works excellent with Avalaunch dashboard... :D
