first mini image?is that kind of small file which can cheat your program that you are playing game with a real cd?
and orginal image,that mean you copy your orginal cd by using the clonecd of alcohole ,what is that for?I mean in the case you already had a orginal cd

Your explanations are right!

Just one addition: The original image is for emulation purposes.....and you must own the original cd anyway........

The images can be used instead of using your CD's. That way you only have to load/mount the images instead of physically placing your original disc into the CD/DVD drive. Therefore allowing you to store your original disc for safe keeping. ;)

if i buy a game i leave it in my dvd rom...(1 dvd-r ,1 cd-r)so i use the cd-r to whatever i want to do.

@Luci
Ahh yes, I know what you mean but a lot of us play more than one game at once (and i dont mean at the same time) and dont like swapping discs all the time. If I buy a new game then yes I also tend to just leave it in the drive. ;)
