My PS2 has started to not boot original games although back-ups work fine, the blue eject light is on all the time, is this normal?

Any help appreciated.

Yeah it's normal - although it sounds like your laser is starting to die

Where would you recomend getting a replacement laser in the uk, the ps2 is a scph-39003 either v7 or v8.

There are usually some on ebay or try another site such as ps2laser.co.uk
