Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you have had "themodchip.com" install your chip?? A couple of weeks ago I sent my PS2, along with my reciept for $117 (for the dms4 pro and install) to the address they instructed. They said it would be 5 days before I would get it back. I emailed 2 weeks later asking for a status and they said they couldn't do the job and they can't give me my money back, so I would have to dispute the charges on the credit card. The biggie was that they didn't say anything about my console being sent back. I replied back for more details and I got nothing (yet).
Anyone have any ideas? This suks.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

OUCH!!!. While i dont own a PS2 (anymore) my advice would be to go through all the usual channels and if still no luck contact "watch-dog" in the PS2 official mag as a last resort. (i have read many many times in the mag of ppl getting ripped one way or another and these guys have prooved indespencable @ getting companys to sort out there consumers. I know your talking a while to get this sorted through these channels but what have you to loose ??.

Definitely dispute the charges through your CC company. They will credit your money back to the card. If they refuse to send the console back then sue them for the console and punative damages. Dont let they get away with keeping the console.
If you are lucky enough to get the console back send it to Spedmetal. He's honest and does a good job.

I think they botched the job up and somehow ruined your PS2 :\

Instead of saying we made a mistake heres a new one, they are trying to keep both your money you paid plus not using their own money for a new console.
