How do I Extract the Patch Archive to the path containing the CD-Image file. and
Open a DOS-Box/MS-DOS Prompt and change directory to the path containing the CD-Image file (and patch). Using CDRWIN?

why have you opened another thread for this?

i'm not exactly sure what your problem is... where exactly are you stuck, what have you done so far? i'm assuming you've made a disk image of the game you're trying to back up and have download the patch for it from megagames.

CDRWIN is a CD burning program, to extract the archive you need an extracting program... they're probably .rar files right? you need winrar.

then apply the patch, if its a ppf file you need ppf-o-matic which is very straight forward to use. some of the patches have a file called FIX.exe which you need to run, then type in the location of the image (C:\IMAGE.BIN or whatever) to patch it.

does that help?

the cue file is not your image, cue files are very small, if open it in notepad it will just be a few lines of text, they are basically instructions that tell burning programs what settings to use.

what program did you use to make the image? there should be more than just the cue file. the other file should be larger, about the size of the CD (say anything around 300-600mb or so). that's the file that needs to be patched, so type in the location to that.

yeh thats it, a BIN file is a type of disk image file.
the best thing to do is put it into the root directory of your hard drive (C:\) and name it to something really short, like IMAGE.BIN, just to make it easier to type in - short and with no spaces.

then start the Fix.exe, type in C:\IMAGE.BIN and hit enter.
if i remember correctly, the DOS window does disappear automatically, but if you look carefully you should see some text appear briefly before it closes that says something to the effect of 'patching image'
then check the image file, and see if its last modified time is the current time, if the image has just been modified then you'll know the patch was applied.
