I've read the stickies and perhaps i missed something, but I'm having trouble clarifying something: Which is better, the HDLoader or the HDAdvance? I know the advance is a hacked version of the loader, but is it better? Which has more features/compatibility with games?

What is a newer TOC anyway?

I want to set up a HD option for my PS2, but I'm not sure if itll work. Let me explain:

I own 2 ps2s. One is modchipped to run backups(ps2 a), while the other isnt. (ps2 b). Ps2 B's laser is barely functioning anymore, but it's the one i want HDloader to run on. Would it be possible to hook the hdloader and drive into ps2 A, copy games to the HD, then swap the HD over to Ps2 B? If so, could I even use backups instead of my original discs during the process? Keep in mind, Ps2 B's laser hardly works, so it may not even run the Hdloader software. Has an exploit been created for it to run off the memory card?

Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

You can even use your pc to upload your games to your ps2hdd. Just use a program like Winhiip.

Which is better? WinHiip or Faplink? Also, what happens if the hdloader disc doesn't load at all (seriously, this second ps2 i own is shot to hell, it might not even run audio cds anymore.) Will I be out of luck?

have you tried cleaning your lens?

also I've found that on mine the lens needs to be adjusted for HDloader differently than for normal use, so I have to manually adjust the laser before I use the hdloader disk.

I've tried every known solution for my laser. Trust me, it's a lost cause

I've heard that its not possible to play online using HDLoader. Is that true? Is there any kind of fix to change this?
