I will make a backup of a 5 Gb game DVD, but I don't know which program I should use. It is important that the backup can be burned on a 4.7 Gb DVD and installed from the backup.

thanks

I burned Act of War with Alocohol and split at 4 GB. Now I burned the 4 GB Image and the 1 GB Image on two normal DVD's. It nerves, but it works and its cheaper than a Double Layer DVD.

For ACT OF WAR: DIRECT ACTION, there is a Guide to rip out the not needed language files, to burn it on a 4,7 GB DVD.

Just take a look in the CD2DVD Thread. It's stick on the top of the board.

but in fact... you need DOS knowledge to do it that way... well, so far as i read that... in this forum..

No need for DOS knowledge, if you use the newset "version" of the DVD9toDVD5 guide. You can find it in the CD2DVD Conversion Thread.

is Bamboocha even talking about Act of War?
tell us what the game is that you're trying to back up and we'll be able to help in a more specific way. if it IS Act of War, then you're sorted. otherwise, let us know.

you asked what program to use... well pretty much any program will burn it for you, its just a question of getting the 5gb game down to DVD5 size, which the burning program won't do for you, it depends on the game.

do you not have a dual layer dvd writer?
