Hay there peeps, just wanted to see if i could get some help with the problem i have. Before i installed service pack 2 need for speed underground 2 was working fine, then i needed to install sp2 due to me getting a new 200gb hdd and it would prevent it from crashing. Then when i come to load up nfsu2 and at start up screen when rachel talks its like she stutters and lags. Is there any patch for this or anything i can do. Thanks

My Pc Specs Are:

Amd Athlon 2000xp 1.7ghz
512 Ram
Nvidia Winfast 64mb Gforce 4
200gb (7200rpm) Western Digital Hdd
Sony Dvd Burner
Soner Dvd Rom

Hi TYR4NT,

I bet you get the same problem when running the game without a no-CD patch. In this case, you should contact the game publisher as it has nothing to do with the no-CD patch itself... Good luck,

I dont think it has anything to do with the patch, unless theres a certain one for sp2, cause b4 i put on sp2 it was working fine, any other suggestions. And also how am i supposed 2 contact the games publisher which is EA Games.

go to the ea forums or something, you´re sure not the only one with this problem,because it depends on SP2, i guess you´ll find help there.

BTW

If you install SP2 on top of SP1 it will place the latest microsoft drivers for your GFX and sound cards. Try reinstalling your drivers from the manufacturers sites.

Reason MS drivers are crap is they dont include opengl support for gfx cards.

Yeah that could be true cause ive got an updated drivermfrom microsoft which was made in 2004 and theres one from nvidia which i think was 2003, what you rekon, which 1 shall i choose?

Download the latest nVidia driver from www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com) !
I think V71.84 (11th March 2005) is the latest.

Or try beta version of NV drivers. D/L them on www.guru3d.com. You may expirience some problems (because its beta) but they can also help you.

I downloaded the latest driver from nvidia, same problem, still hasnt been resolved. I tried putting all display options on low, and they were already set on low. What else should i do?

I dont have any problems with NFSU 2 and I also have Sp2 installed! ;)

Well i dont know what must be wrong, but im sure theres something wrong from there side of the game, must be some incompatability somewhere down the line.

Dose this error/problem have anything to do with the crack?
I've played the game under SP2, I think 50% of the game players of NFSU2 use SP2. And have'nt got any problems. Except the game sucked my balls hard, but that is a completly diffrent story!

Agreed, krondike,

I've tried Street Racing Syndicate and it's incomparably better, in graphics, sound and gameplay, than NFSU2. Damn, the NFS team - if such a thing ever existed for a decade! - is getting real lazy...! :(
