View Full Version : Act of War on two (4,7 GB)-DVDs
You can backup Act of War on two (4,7 GB)-DVDs without ripping anything.
Copy all DVD content to a folder (e.g. "AOW").
Create a second folder (e.g. "AOW_Disc2").
Move "data3.cab" - "data6.cab" from "AOW" to "AOW_Disc2".
Copy "ActOfWar.dat" from "AOW" to "AOW_Disc2".
Put game fixes, trainers... in a new folder on "AOW" or "AOW_Disc2".
Burn both disks labeled whatever you called them before.
During intallation of the 1st disc you will be asked to insert the "Play Disc". Thats the point were you insert the 2nd disc. You can pause the movie if you are watching it.
Copy the nodvd-gamefix to your Installdir.
Have fun.

But why would anyone want to do this if they can just back it up to one DVD-5?

C'mon guys go easy on him! It was his first post and he tried to offer something new. At least he is not here asking where to find cracks etc. Give the guy a break.
You never know this type of conversion may be needed in the future? ;)
Yeah I agree, it is good to see someone taking the time and discovering new ways of doing this.
Even if you do CAN make a backup to DVD-5 this might be useful some day.
