Doom3 Help!

i've bought Doom3 a few days ago (they've just arrived :p), so i installed it on my pc and i used the no-cd crack to play. but i got this error :

"unknown command 'vid_restart'
idrendersystem::Shutdown(1)
Shutting down OpenGL subsystem
...shutting down OGL
Couldn't load default.cfg"

what can be wrong? i'm using a p4 2.0GHz with ATi Radeon 9550GT with ATi Catalyst 5.2 drivers. is there a fix for this problem?

Don't know why you get this error...
...only want to say that there are already ATi Catalyst 5.3 Drivers.

does it work without a nocd crack?

sorry, but i think i've found the problem. it seems that one of my pk4 files is corrupted as i can't extract the contents (for faster gameplay :p) and the no-cd crack works with the doom3 demo with a few glitches.

but strangely though, i can play without the no-cd crack (with a very slow fps), but when i use the no-cd crack, the same error happened. anyway, i'm taking the cds back to the game shop for a change of cds.
