Hi,
I'am from the UK and just recently bought a us/ntsc Slimline PS2. However, i'm having problems trying to connect it online, as it gets as far as the DNAS screen, then it hangs. I'm using a D-Link 504T Router. I have the Online Start Up Disc V3.0 (you american guys will know what i mean:) and i select the LAN option and choose 'Automatic' configuration. I basically have a DHCP server so the router will assign an IP address for the PS2, which it does.
I've tried my PAL machine (Slimline) and and that has no problems at all connecting. I have a separate MC with the Network settings for the PAL so i'm not using the settings for the US machine. I've heard people mentioning firmware updates for the exact same model as me to fix online issues with the PS2, yet i'm okay when it comes to the PAL machine so i know its not the router's fault.
If anyone has any ideas or has had the same problem let me know the solution as that will be great:)
Thanks
Oh, btw, the machine is brand new and unmodded
