Hello, I am a noob and I am trying to use the No Cd crack for Star Wars Jedi Academy, I extracted it and then changed the target to it but it comes up with this and I am not sure what I am supposed to do from here so if someone can help that would be great...
this is what it shows...
" This application has failed to start because OpenAL32.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Thanks,
Billiam

Hi Billiam6300,
If you changed the target then the no-CD executable is probably in a different directory than the original executable. Well, that won't work, you gotta _overwrite_ the original executable. (After having backed it up, that is.) Good luck,
Joe

Hello, its me and I tried that.. I opened the no cd crack moved it to the correct folder and then renamed the old .exe and then changed the target to match the new .exe and I get the "wrong .dll" thing..
anyother Ideas?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, it works fine with the CD in the drive, I just dont like to listen to the drive spinning so that is why I typically like to use no cd cracks. Its obvious that you must be a pain in the a_ _ , so why dont you go bug some other forum...

What is the wrong DLL thing? Is it the same OpenAL problem?
How do you typically use cracks if you didn't know you had to overwrite the exe?
Don't insult people.
Read the NFO file.
Why did you change the target?
Make sure you're using the right version of the crack.
When you insult someone, make sure you:
make it clear who you're insulting
know what you're talking about
read the forum rules
are prepared to deal with the consequences
don't need anyone's help cause less people will be likely to help you if you abusive
aren't replying to someone else's abuse or a flame war will ensue
If all else fails (everyone else can use the crack and you're the only one who can't) use the original CD cause frankly, I don't think tech support is going to be willing to help you with a "crack problem"

You have the power :D Actualy i have a question which is a little off topic but would appreciate any info... Basicaly i used to be a member here approx 18 to 24 months ago (quiet an active member) but when i tried to log in using my old username ect i couldnt. (cant remember the message exactly but something about not reconised seems to ring a bell). Is there a time limit of some kind, one where you have to log onto GCW within a certian time limit or your account is deleted ? I was erm away for a while (a place where internet accsess wasnt permited, actualy not much was permitted where i was  ). If its poss id like to be able to use my old account. Is it poss? Thanks
errr can I say OT :P
I think OT (in this context) means off topic.
I could mean other things too (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node=OT)

I must say, "Being Banned for the first time ever from any forum was actually....... pretty boring!
I wanted to reply but could'nt, that is so funny..
I am glad that someone out there actually reads the post here and when anyone breaks the so called rules then "BAM!" they get the big bad "Banned".
I guess in the future I might actually read the rules so I won't get "BANNED" again, that would be horrible..
If I offended anyone I personally apologize.....
Billiam
Umm .. did you just bump you own -month old- thread unnecessarily just to say that?
read the rules again man .. rule#8 comes to mind..

I am not sure what it means to bump a thread, so I am sorry if I am violating rules just to reply to say something....
Do I start a new thread to stop from moving my thread to the top?
Help me understand and I will try to avoid the violation of rules...
Is there a certain place to go to find out forum protocol? like bumping threads...?
Thanks
This isnt bumping, dont worry buddy, everyone has an idea what it is.
But primarily its when someone starts a thread and tries to seek attention or because no-one talks or helps in their thread they bump it to the top of the list to try and get people in.
