Since the no-cd for 5.0.3 isn't out yet and people are requesting it.
It's a mini image, about 2MB in size.You'll need daemon-tools for this to work.

1)Install daemon-tools. (in case you haven't got it yet)
2)Set the emulation to safedisc.
3)Mount this mini-image.
4)Play the game, no need for a no-cd crack.

You guys aren't mounting the image in alcohol are you? That won't work.
Do you have the latest version of daemon tools (3.47) installed?
I think older versions don't work for safedisc 3.
Clonecd installed? That has given me problems in the past with similar mini images.

Uninstall CloneCD! Search these forums for more info on Emulation Detected! There has been plenty written previously about it! But the main problem is CloneCD. ;)

You don't need to do anything from the image after you've loaded it, you can close that window. Just start the game.
You do have fm2005 already installed? Obviously you can't install the game from the image.

Very simple, start a new game (use small database and choose 1 league only, so it would be faster as you won't play this game). After that, just remember to go to the preference and change the language. If you are used to playing FM2005, surely you memorize where the place of that menu.

Juat wanted to say thanks for the people who posted this. I've used the crack for fm2005 5.0.2 without problems but since the new one is not out yet i wanted to try this. The instructions are easy to follow and deamon tools is easy as well as having a good manual.

I'm not running the game with the new data update and Morientes and Cisse are tearing up premiership defences. If only we had this many players fit from the start of the season in real life.

If you use the daemon tools, sure you do not need any CD at all. Personally, I prefer using daemon tools or other devices than using a no-cd crack as these devices do not do any change to your exe file. Sometimes, no-crack if not done by expert/professional would damage the exe file while these devices would never damage the exe file.

Here's a problem:

On my computer, the game was originally installed from drive G:. When I installed Daemon tools, the assigned drive letter for it was E: (it doesn't really mather what letter was it, its's important that it's not G:).

So, in order to play the game, I have to switch the Daemon tools' drive letter to G:, and I'm not really comfortable with that, since i have other stuff installed from Drive G:, and they will not work now...

U run daemon tools.Mount image,then find the fm mds file and open.

Once that happens,a box will open up with pc mac etc in it,just close that.

Then all u do is play fm 2005 as normal. simple. :)

I did talk about uncracked game version. And I was giving an example of a game version that haven't been cracked before.

A: That's not for shure. Example, Total Club Manager 2005 version 1.02 haven't been cracked yet. And it's been out longer that FM 2005. So was telling that is not for shure that a crack for FM 2005 verison 5.0.3 are ever gonna be made.

I have downloaded D-tools and got the mini image. when extracted it is 2 files: FM2005 & FM2005.mds. Ive set deamon-tools the safe disk. NOW WHAT DO I DO?!? quick replies please

Right click the icon in your tray and go to the top set the number of CD’s to be emulated and then mount the image by left clicking on the icon and clicking on “Device 0:[Drive letter] No media”

patch 5.0.5 is not a new patch. All it is is patch 5.0.3 but had to be updated because of some flaws in 5.0.3,thats all.If u downlaoded 5.0.3 in the firstd ay,u will say 5.0.3,but if u downloaded 5.0.3 a few days later,it will say 5.0.5,thats all it is.SI has already said this.

Looks like the no-cd crack will not be released after all now.Ach well,am gonna get the game from the shops to egt patches working.

I never used any kind of editor before. Yes it is happen for both images. But, like I said, it happens randomly. From 10 attempts, it is likely that I have 1 sucessful start (randomly). And for the other 9, I have a pop up that says FM2005.exe needs to close, sorry for the inconvinience.
Please help me? I was abandoning my FM2005, until it says that in 5.03 SI has fixed the CPU usage. But now I can't even start my game :(

Is there anything to do with my previous installation of alcohol 120% and/or nero 6.6 (I still have nero on my computer, but not alcohol)??

Yeah, I'm using the daemon tools 3.47. Finally, I GET THE FM2005 TO WORK! I use the Windows 2000 Compatibilty mode and voila, IT WORKS..!

hi, having problems i upgraded to 5.05 today ive not had this game for long so it was the 1st patch, shortly after doing that i tried to install the mini image threw daemon and it worked the game loaded and i went to my saved game and that worked too,
but i tried to start a new game and when i clik create the game crashes/closes itself and thats it, ive taken the mini image off and tried with the cd(ehich i was about to return to the shop btw :P) but it still crashes any help please.

yeah i tried that...i had my game installed in E: so i deleted the folder and deleted the Registry enteries...and then re-installed the whole thing in the C:\ accordingly....but i still can't install the patch...it says "unable to read from fm 2005 installation folder" someone please help me.... :o

I dont have the game myself so I cant tell you exactly where the saved games are but look thru your game folders (they could even be somewhere in the 'My Documents' folder). Then copy them to another folder so you can replace them once you do a re-install of the game. ;)
Once reinstalling the game you may have to start another game, this way the saved game folder will be created again as sometimes the save game folder doesnt appear until you have actually started a game. Once you have the folder created you will be able to quit the game so you can copy your old save files back to the correct directory. I do this with all my games, especially after finishing the game. ;)

I dont have the game myself so I cant tell you exactly where the saved games are but look thru your game folders (they could even be somewhere in the 'My Documents' folder). Then copy them to another folder so you can replace them once you do a re-install of the game. ;)
Once reinstalling the game you may have to start another game, this way the saved game folder will be created again as sometimes the save game folder doesnt appear until you have actually started a game. Once you have the folder created you will be able to quit the game so you can copy your old save files back to the correct directory. I do this with all my games, especially after finishing the game. ;)

Ok guys listen up.. i've spent days to get this working as there MIGHT NOT be a crack for it.

so to get daemon tools working, do this:

Clean Slate

These are the files to delete first before you install Daemon tools:
- c:\windows\system32\driver\d347bus.sys
- c:\windows\system32\driver\d347prt.sys

Also, Run > regedit
- hkey_local_machine > system > currentcontrolset > services > DELETE: d347bus & d347prt folders

Start > Search > All files n folders > Daemon ... anything daemon tool related.. DELETE.. if unsure, dont do it...

if you dont have these files dont panic, it means ur alredy clean :)
Ok so you're set.

Download older version first
Download Daemon 3.46 (http://daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=8&sid=c9172edbb00c23d4d56f69cb08632cd6)

So follow instructions and stuff.. once its done, you will get the Blue Screen of Death. Dont worry, im sure youve restarted it.

double click the icon but it will show you error "No language file detected" or something.

then download starforce driver (http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip) .. restart again...

now.. download the latest 3.47 daemon and install it.. and if they prompt anything, just undo changes. dont change anything, just click NEXT NEXT NEXT...

then RESTART again.. and voila.. you should see the daemon red icon on your tray... enjoy :)

awright i'm a novice so i really do need help in this....please !

i have installed the game in C:\...i had overwritten the original fm2005.exe with a No-Cd crack (no daemon tools), and it was working fine.....i don't have the cd with me anymore :( ...and now whenever i try updating the game with the update patch(5.02 or 5.05)... the patch quits saying "its unable to read the current fm 2005 installation folder"....... :confused:

is there any way i can update my game ?? any suggestions will be much appreciated please......anything at all... :o

I have one question to those who are having problems with the mini-image.

Are you downloading the 5.0.5 patch then trying to use mini-image ?

because i think that is the problem.I downloaded 5.0.3,and it works fine,but with 5.0.5,it dont work.
So the only way to fix this is for the guys to amke another mini-image,but usuing the 5.0.5 patch this time.

I'm not quite sure you are supposed to do that because:

1. I installed the 5.0.3 patch WITH data updates.
2. Used the mini-image. Everything worked nice.
3. 5.0.5 came out without data and with data updates HOWEVER to users who have 5.0.3 with data update you are only required to download the 5.0.5 fm2005.exe which is offered over at the sigames forums by the SIGames staff.
4. Mini-image works with the fm2005.exe 5.0.5


So that means that the 4 changes that are in 5.0.5 compared to 5.0.3 are within the executable. Which means using the 5.0.2 no-cd crack will mean you are missing out on some fixes.

to be honest i am only doing it just now until my wee brother gets our (original) cd off his bloody mate that he gave it too who has it with him in bloody america using it on his lap top whilst he is working. the mini image doesnt work for me because i am not prepared to uninstall clone cd etc. when i get my cd back i am planning on uninstalling the game, reinstalling and only updating to the 5.0.2 patch and leaving it at that cos i didnt have any grumbles with the game with that patch. if another noCD crack appears then i will update. if not then im not overly bothered...

Help!!!!!!!

I really am struggling to get this patch to work.

I've got daemon tools and i have the mini image (i think - the shortcut is entitled fm2005mini.rar)

When i go to the top of the menu - virtual CD/DVD-ROM and then it says "Device 0: [E:] no media and then i go to mount image but can't find the correct file.

Where am i going wrong?

Can someone give me a SIMPLE walk along insruction?

I've tried this Mini Image, got it all mounted succesfully in Daemon tools, but I still can't run the game - I get something along the lines of "CD/DVD emulation software detected, please unload" - this is coming from someone who has the PROPER FULL GAME and I can't even play a game i paid for!! If i try it using the normal method, of just inserting the FM CD and running the game from my desktop, i get the CD emulation error message still. I've tried unloading everything (and i mean everything) with no luck. What can i do? How would this mini-image work anyway, because it uses Daemon, but FM doesn't load up when Daemon tools is detected?

This is doing my head in!

I've installed the latest patch from the SI web site, I've installed Deamon Tools, I've downloaded the mini image from GCW and extracted it, I've set Deamon to Safedisc, I've mounted the mds file from the GCW site.

But It still comes up with the "Please insert original disc" message..... what have I missed?? People on this thread have mentioned an mdi file, but the extract from GCW has an mdf file and an mds file, am I using the right one? Do I need to put it in a specific place?

Any help greatly appreciated.....

I have tried to use deamon tools like you suggested but launching the fm2005.exe file it doesn't come nothing, only a little white page without any words written and a white point in the center of the monitor.....

Right this is the situation regarding a No-Cd Crack For V.5.0.5.

I ahve searched over 1000 sits through google looking for this crack,and also on "other means",which shall remain nameless,but you guys know what i mean.

And i have found nothing.

Somone told me that in fact there was a NO-Cd Crack for this game,but there is'nt.

Why no oe has made this crack,only the person who makes these cracks has the answer...............So i put out a plea....................................

1. Mini images are much easier to do than no-CD patches. Also, mini images work with _any_ version of the game (unless a new update manages to incorporate some code that can detect the different between an original CD/DVD and a mini image), while no-CD patches have to be done for each and every update. Furthermore, mini images contain all the information needed to fool the copy protection into thinking it's running off an original CD/DVD, while a no-CD patch includes getting rid of all the small details of copy protection entangled, sometimes in a quite nasty way, into the software. You shouldn't be surprised, therefore, that, for some games, only mini images exist, no-CD patches don't.

2. I don't think there's _any_ professional cracker, who does no-CD patches for today's commercial copy protections, is reading this forum. So, your whining is completely useless...

3. _All_ files, hosted by GCW, _can_ be downloaded. If you get the "file is too old" error message, try _all_ mirrors and _all_ submirrors of mirror #1. If you still get the message, try again in a few hours/days - the file might be down because of maintenance.

I 've installed 5.05 patch and runned the image with daemon and everything seemed to work properly. I can play my previous games but i can't start a new one. It stops loading in "setting up manager shortlists". Does anyone know what can I do!? :confused: :confused: :confused:

So in conclusion, i open daemon, set the folder, mount image and play right?

I noticed most people (or everyone) get their Football Manager 2005 copy to run with the mini-image provided on the website.
Well it doesn't work for me. And I don't know what the reason this might has.


When I mount the mini-image with Deamon Tools (or Alcohol 120% latest version), I am getting the following message when I try to run the game:

Access Denied:
Please login with administrator privileges and try again football manager.


But I am logged in with administrator!

Any ideas on how to fix this...? Any help would be nice.

Log Off from windows, back to the user selection screen and press

CTRL+ALT+DEL twice slowly, you will be able to input a username manually


Here type in administrator and log in, hopefully there wont be any passwords involved.

But it doesn't work. I have 2 accounts as active users; my personal account (which also has full access).

And the administrator account (which of course also has full access).

When I try running FM2005 on either one of them, they both result in the same error message posted in my previous posting.

So the offered solution doesn't help. :(

If you are getting "some weird stuff a folder with (fm2005)" you have mounted the mini image correctly and all you have to do is start the game!!

Did you install the full game? The mini image only works with FULL installation of the COMPLETE game.
