View Full Version : Can u back up Gran Turismo 4?
I have not been able to back up Gran turismo 4 my Nero says its too big ! DVD Shrink wont help what software do I need and hoew do I do that? Please help with a step by step guide Inquiring mind wants 2 know Thx in advance

Just to be clear. There is NO WAY TO BACK UP Gran Turismo 4 whether it be via disc or hdd. Just cant do it, yet.

i heard D/l writes wont even copy it cuase the 2nd layer on the disk is called PTP and only high $$ buners equment burns that style

Yup.
Actually the only way you can use it off the hdd is if you flatten the disc and put it on your hdd via your pc. Then you will need your original disc in the ps2 tray when loading the game via hdloader. Supposedly this only speed up certain menu loadings but most of the game is still loaded off the actual disc in the tray. Not exactly worth all the effort.

I have not tried it yet, but I just read on another website, that you can load GT4 into your HDD using HD Loader. You just have to enable Mode 2. Anyone confirm this?

It only works (not even entirely) off the hdd if you have the ORIGINAL disc in the drive. Because it actually checks the drive and loads most of the content from the drive. Basically from what Ive read, its not really worth it because it barely faster.
