View Full Version : Pioneer A09 or 109
These boxes are now down to about $85.00 on the Internet.
Anyone using either of them? Success? Failures?
Would like to know how well it works before buying.
Thanks,
lugesm

No problems with it yet!! I've burnt tons of DVD-R. DVD+R, DVD+RW,CD-R so far with no problems whatsoever!!.
Thank you for the comments.
Which firmware version are you running in the Pioneer?
What brand of DVD media do you use?
Thanks
Well, I ordered the Pioneer DVR-109BG DVD+/-RW from Newegg tonight . . . . . $74.49 delivered. Not a bad price.
I hope to test it before the week is out, and I will report results here . . . . . if anyone is interested.

I understand that the 109/AO9 has PTP capabilities. I wanna know if it can burn GTA4 correctly since the latest word is that its made that way.

Sorry, I am such a novice that I don't know what PTP or GTA4 means. :o

The unit came in yesterday. So far I have used it to back up some of my wife's DVD movies using Ridata 8x DVD-R media with good success. I have also backed up my computer files on a Sony DVD+RW disk without problems. Don't have any 16x DVD-R media yet. As I continue to use the drive I will report any issues on this Forum.
