I have just bought the game, installed it perfectly. But when I try to play, XP comes up with an error-message. The game doesnīt even load and Iīm talking about the original cdīs, (no mods, cracks or no-cd`s).

I defraged my harddrive and shut all unnessesary processes down as I was told on WWW.sims2.ea.com.

Any quick solutions to my problem ?

I was told by a friend that I proberbly need to format my harddrive, but, hey I mean, my computer runs perfectly and normal.

Do I really need to format to play a game?

I exeed specifications, so thatīs not the problem.

Please help

Homer

Would be interesting to know what the error message exactly is ?

XP came up with "Sims2.exe found an error..closing app.", and something like ... "would you like to send error-message to microsoft".

I unistalled all my programs though, (Clonecd, Clonedvd, Nero..everything) , one by one to see if anything was causing problems. It kept coming up with the message. Backed up my photos and musicfiles and formatted the disc.

It plays ok now.. and itīs fun.

Iīll be installing my programs again, one by one, to see what causes problems.
