Hi Everyone,
I can see that many people have had trouble with backing up GT4
Well i am trying to do so myself and i was just wondering if anyone has come up with anything yet, as i have read the threads, but they seem to be inconclusive. I was also wondering if DVD Shrink wud work on it? ...just a thought
And finally i am trying to backup Xenosaga Ep. 1 (which is Double-Layer) and i was just wondering exactly how i can do that with just a normal dvd-r/w burner and dvd, if its possible. Please dont tell me to seach the forum because i have but i came up with nothing, maybe its too old, i dont know
the only thing i found was to use DVD Shrink......

Thanks in advance for any and all help

Are you sure about that? I thought it was dual layered.

Check some ripping sites, for either a guide or a ripper. I'm sure one will surface sooner rather than later. :)

Right now at the moment that game is not able to be backed up because its a dual layered disc which is over 6 gigs in size where standard dvd media is only 4.7 gigs. :o

No, you're wrong. We have DVD9 media. The reason it can't be backed up is because it uses a PTP write method on the second layer, which many burners cannot reproduce.

I Know about the PTP on GT4 but does Xeno:Ep 1 have it as well?

GT4 is the first game to have it. Xeno is a regular dvdDL.

So I am basically going to have to wait awhile to copy GT4 i guess, oh well......
I am going to try to burn the first layer of GT4 and see what happens. I will post my results when i test it.

What about Xenosaga Ep.1?
Is there any way for me to back that up WITHOUT a Dual Layer Burner and DVD 9's, just using dvd 5's and a regular burner? Can I dvd Shrink it down enough?
As always any help is appreciated
Thanks
