View Full Version : Did it for PS1, now i need to do it to PS2..

im new at this,
so im sorry if this was covered.
i couldnt find any info.

i burned, patched, and pal to ntsc resident evil survivor just fine. works awesome. now i want to do the same thing to survivor 2.

this time around, its ps2, and a dvd disc.

how can i do the same thing i did before, with this new media?

Youll find that with the Flip top and the swap discs you wont be able to boot all your games. So if your already having that problem its more than likely because of them.

i dont have a problem booting game game.
maybe im not explaining myself correctly.

the game boots fine, i can play it. but i have to head bang to play it.
the screen rolls. i have 4 other pal games, they have a picture setting option.

this game does not. but i have a patch for it. i want to patch it, and re-burn it with the patch. just like i did with survivor 1 on ps1. (like i also stated in the first letter)

i dont care AT ALL about having a modded system. i have 27 games and never had a problem booting any of them.

im just having this one problem, for a crappy game

With the money you spent on swap magic discs+the flip top+burning the same game over and over and it still don't work with swap magic-you could have bought a simple duo or apple chip and had someone else install it. And it would have been alot less headaches. We are trying to help you-if you will let us. Think long term. In the end a modchip is cheaper and less hassles.

Do you have a ppf patch?? If so create a ISo with dvd decrypter, Apply the patch with ppf-o-matic then Burn.

i never burned a copy yet. thats why i was asking first.
why do you assume i did?

i didnt pay anything for the setup that i have.
my friend owned this flip top deal, and gave it to me when he
got the pstwo modded.

if i didnt already have this setup that was givin to me, and IF I CARED enough, i would buy a mod chip for my other ps2. but i dont care.
and this works. and my cat eats cheetoes.

so u can kiss my turd chute

AGAIN, i did not have trouble even lpaying it. its pal. and i cant use pal.. without patching it.. and i keep getting bashed for this? i could understand if i actually had a problem! i just asked a question

Well we get a lot of people that dont realize the flip tops and swap magics require a lot of work to get games to boot, if they can at all. Everyone must have thought you were just another one. You also could have been less brief in your original post but nobody's perfect.


As for your chip question, then the Duo2 SE is for you. Apple is outdated.

i used ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix it worked when the ppf-o-matic didnt. the game works nicely. too bad the game itself blows.
