Hi everyone, I have a V4 NTSC console with the DMS4 Pro chip installed, which was running ToxicOS .1. I had installed a Maxtor 40GB hard drive in it and it was working fine, was formatted and everything, even ran a game from the HD after installing it and ran perfectly.

Now that I had installed the OS .2 version, all of a sudden now Toxic isnt able to detect my hard drive. I am not sure why this is. Even when loading the 1.31 version of the HDD Explorer, it also says it can't detect a drive connected to the PS2. Any reason on why this would occur, even after the fact that the HD worked fine before the OS .2 upgrade? The HD does spin up and everything, I just get the "Can not detect a HDD connected to the PS2" message. Any suggesstions would be appreciated.

If you have done this already I dont know and it might sound stupid but simply check to make sure the NA is plugged into the HDD properly. Some times mine gets dislodged enough for HDloader to not detect the HDD but the power plug is still connected well enough to spin up the HDD.

If this fails try flashing back to ToxicOS 1.01 or whatever its called.

If this fails I dont know...maybe your HDD is bad :(

I figured it out guys.....my Network Adapter wasnt screwed in firm enough against the console, so used a nickel to tighten the screws a bit, and sure enough when I turned it on, the HD screen finally appeared. If anyone else ever has this problem, be sure the screws on the NA are firm and tight against the console (apparently the NA connector wasnt fully seated). Thanks fot the help guys. :)
