View Full Version : KOTOR II Crack Problem - help!

I downloaded the crack for Sith Lords and am not entirely sure what to do with it now....Do I remove the old kotor2.exe file in the game folder, put the crack in and rename it kotor2.exe? If so, how do I actually start the game because when I double click the .exe file it just asks me if I'm sure I want to run it and when I click yes a window flashes up for a second and then disappears. So, as the title of the topic says - help! Please!
Where did you get the crack from as Im sure many people would be very interested in getting hold of it? What is the name of it? If its not the same name already as the original exe then it sounds like it could be a crack patch! ;)
Nevermind Ive just noticed its available on GCW! ;) Just replace it with the original file, but backup the original first! ;)

I got it from the site that linked this forum - http://gamecopyworld.com/ (there's a link to the crack on the news page once you get past all the nonesense) - if this is legitimate can somebody tell me how it works?
yeh just incase you didnt notice the edit in the post above just copy it to the original game directory and overwrite the original exe, but backup the original exe first incase its needed for future updates! ;)

As I said though I tried just replacing it with the .exe file for the game and renaming it but it didn't work yet people have said that it does - help :D

Never mind - I didn't know about the whole WinRar thing but I've got it working now - wooohoooo. Thanks for your help :D
Maybe I should have used the word 'extract' instead of copy. ;) I just presumed you knew what a winrar file was. :D
Could somebody post the url of the crack of kotor II? i cant find it

Hi Volks, i ve got a problem with the no cd key and i wonder if anyone in here can help me. I decided (out of many) to post into this thread because the thread name fits at most to my issue. Problem is as follows: I bought Kotor 2 a couple of weeks ago (german version) but actually never really played it (havent had time). I just intalled and tried it and it worked fine. Today (my day off juhu) i decided finally to start playing the game.. I downloaded the no cd crack replaced the .exe started the game created the character, watched the intro (i know you love details ;)) and then ...... i found myself forced to restart the computer because the screen remained black :) .. directly after the intro .. and this happens all the time when I try to play now .... I still can hear the music ... but nothing else happens ... its really weird ... so i uninstalled the game and re installed it ... (hadnt done the back up of the .exe) and tried to play it with the cd .. and it worked fine again .... so i thought maybe i did something wrong therefore i replaced the .exe again with the patch ... and you can guess .... it didnt work again ... exactly the same problem ... anyone with a idea what could be causing this problem ? I am playing on a Toshiba laptop Centrino 1.6, 512 ram and Ati radeon 7000 (or was it 700 ? something around the .. quite new anyway)
Hope i am not a to late with posting problems about this game and hope i will get some help here... thanks in advance
The radeon 7000 is well not up to spec buddy.
You would have noticed this on the back of the game case under minimum specs.

Go to the Update button in the Autorunner and Update the game. However you need the original EXE and there is no crack for the new version yet ;(

hm ok i will give it a try ... but if there is no crack for the new version it is senseless because i can play the game with the originall cd... well anyway ... i may be patient and wait for a crack for the updated version or a new crack at all ... thx a lot
oh and before I forget it is a radeon 9700 (just knew that there is something with 700 :)) ..
