Today i tried to do Village of the Damned, the 1995 Universal pictures version. Im using the newest version of Clone and the error starts out the same way as it did on the Grudge, with the quality graph on the second screen being greyed out, but then on the fourth screen when attempting to burn it, Clone gives an error like "E/video_TS not found". With this being an older movie, its got me stumped!
As far as which programs i preffer, its hands down Clone, Ive never had any problems before (with the exception occasional new releases). Are older movies a common problem for Clone?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanx, J.M

Try doing one of the methods in this link. It normally helps get rid of ARCCOS from Sony related movies but it also fixes other minor problems.

Also make sure your original is scratchfree.

I downloaded the latest versions of dvd43 and dvd shrink about two weeks ago, and I have been able to make back up copies of all those troublesome movies with Sony Arccos protection; it is not right for Sony (or any other company) to make it so difficult (or impossible) to a make a back-up copy of a DVD that I have purchased. Anyway, After encoding them on my hard drive, I burned them to DVD with Roxio 6 (a friend of mine uses Roxio 7 and it works just as well or better.) Roxio costs about $60, but dvd 43 and dvd shrink are freeware programs. Good luck with everything, and thanks to everybody for all of their input and ideas. :  :
