Ok, I have done extensive reading and research and I dont think "any" chip can claim this with 100% certainty. Maybe that is why they only have one distributor and no info in their support section. But even more disturbing, when the %$#$ did Jim Henson Productions sign up to support a whack product like this?

Yes it definitely smells like ownz. Probably a clone chip. Jim Henson is long since dead but his son still alive and running the business. They would NEVER sign off on a licensing for something like this. It does suprise me though because they do defend their copyrighted material quite vigorously. Obviously they haven't heard about it yet. When they do find out, their attorneys will go after whoever they can. This is probably a bad thing for the mod chip community. But then we all knew it was a matter of time before ownz pissed someone off so incredibly bad. Maybe we should leak info and point them towards ownz. They are gonna find out anyway and it would be nice for someone to remove ownz from the mod chip scene. he he he :D

Oh by the way, yes its a direct clone on new Magic KX which is there new v9-v12 compatable chip. If you look at the chip its layout is exactly the same, as the Magic V's the only difference it the color of the PCB.

I have also been in correspondence with a guy who claims he had his PAL V12 installed with a Magic KX and with in just a few days the laser burnt out. So if this thing is a clone of the Magic line we already have proof that the Magic is having trouble as well. Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to say its any particular chip as it doesn`t seem to matter what chip or lack there of that's causing this issue which leads me to believe its Sony's manufacturing, but hell what do I know?

hmm well i wont trust it there is now way it can control it! The only way they could protect the la chip form blowing is for the chip to constantly measure the input voltage and if it goes past it the ps2 shuts down thats my theory it doesnt do anything! its a hk clone of the magic V
