Just bought the game called Port Royale 2 (US version), and none of the NoCD fixes work from anywhere with this game. I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to explain the proceedure to make an image of a game that can be mounted with D-tools to me...... Seems this might be an option after paging through the search on the game.

making an image is simple enough, you can use alcohol 120% to make an iso file or whatever type you wish. daemon is compatible with multiple image files, so you have a broad choice ( you could use nero or clone cd if you wanted ). check the games protection with clony xxl and use the appropriate setting in alcohol 120% ( it has specific settings for different protections )
I'm not completly familiar with alcohol as i always use nocds, but as far as i'm aware, this should work ;)
@celticp
check the games protection with clony xxl
Honestly ClonyXXL used to be a terrific program and still is for the older protections but unfortunately it will no longer detect the newer versions of the more popular protections!! Use PID (Protection ID) or A-Ray Scanner. They will both do the later protections and are probably easier to use than ClonyXXL. ;)

O.K. suppose I use Nero to make an image to load with D-tools. What setting in Nero should I use or do I need other software other than Nero and D-tools to make this thing work? I have those 2 programs on this system but not the others you both refered to.
best program to make images is alcohol as u can just load a protection profile which will automaticly configure it for that protection, so its a lot easier
