I'd just like to know what it is possible to backup with this recorder:

well you have to test it yourself man...
hardware dependent is safedisc and securom(try securom at 1x cause you might get an error)fs2004 can be copied if i remember well.try it man.if it doesn't work then just download the crack.plextor are good though.my plexwriter can write everything
