cuz a wierd prob occurred, i got the ps2 hooked thru the comp, every time i fired up the ps2 (like a week ago..before i started playin w/ stuff) the "connected"box popped up in the cpu taskbar. since a couple days ago, the comp is showing the ps2 network disconnected no matter what i do..but everything was plugged in good after like 100 checks., heres where it gets wierd. i just noticed that when the hdloader is in the ps2, turn on the ps2 and on the comp --ps2 network is now connected @ 100mb/s. cool. however, any other disc t all in the ps2, turn it on you can hear the hd spin, ps2 connects to comp, for like 2 sec, the hd stops spinning and on the comp, ps2 now disconnected. it only works with the hdloader in. i cant figure it out. i made a patched back up and wanna try it but cant, any ideas???
going now to buy new n.a. and try that i guess

The N.A. only connects when you have a network enabled game or network disk in there. So it never shows online unless you're playing online. If you want to see your ps2 online with HDLoader load up ExecFTPs on your HDD and launch it with HDLoader. You'll notice it's online and you can tranfer files through ExecFTPs to your memory card/hdd with FlashFXP if connected right.

same prob, narrowed down some. bought a brand new network adapter right out the box, same exact thing: w/ 99.9% of discs in console --"ps2(what i named network) a network cable is now unplugged"in taskbar of comp. w/ hdloader disc in console--"ps2 connected @ 100mb/s".
it doesnt make a diff whether hdd is plugged in or not, so its not the hdd, its not the netadapter, cant be the comp cuz it works w/ the hdloader in, and the comp dont know what disc is where, that leaves the ps2 console, could the problem be in there? ANY ANY ANY IDEAS WOULD BE MORE THAN I HAVE at this point

I think this said it all. HDloader uses the NA to load games and what not so it might be turning on the NA in whatever way that your PC is then recognizing it.
