xbox vs playstation 2

hey.i want to buy a console so i can play with friendz.i was wandering whicj is the best?i know xbox is better on hardware but ps2 has more games.what's your opinion?

well i have a decent computer and planning to buy a switch but the thing is that i can't be always with my friends playing(they are not so close)1 day a week we're gonna play but here(greece)i jusst can't wait 2-3 months to play th egod damn games.it's long time man.

I guess the question is what console do your friends have? If you want to play online with them than you need the same console. I personally have an Xbox because I love halo 2. That's the only game I play online with my friends and the only reason I purchased an Xbox in the first place. Every one of my friends have an Xbox (A lot of them work for M$). I don't actually even know anyone who has a PS2 and have never actually played one myself so I can't really say if it's better or worse than the Xbox. Sorry.

I have a GameCube and a PS2
a few of my friends have Xbox, but they all also own a PS2.
they use the Xbox for online Halo and sports games then use
the PS2 for everything else.
the way i see it If you have a good computer why Buy an Xbox?
Seems like every game for the Box is also on PC
And their are so many games for PS2,
So if you already use your PC for gaming
get a PS2 seems to have a wider veriety of games to choose from
I got a Cube for the more childish/just good old fashioned Mario style play
I got a Ps2 for Grand Turismo and Grand Theft Auto Play
I got a PC for online play
But that is my opinion ;)
