Hey all....I have a couple of questions.

What is better? DVDShrink or this Clone DVD?

What does the AnyDVD do? It runs along with Clone I heard........

Which is faster, better quality, etc....I have never had any problems with DVDshrink except when I tried to backup Little Black Book....Gave me some kind of weird error, like the encryption was new or something.......

I see that you can choose to keep menus and get rid of other things in Clone which you can not do in DVDshrink...I think if you want to reauthor in dvdshrink you lose menus. I think that you can keep the widescreen format and get rid of the other with no problems.......Just a few questions for the Friday afternoon.

Thanx

Eric

Anydvd gets passed New ARCOS protections when they come up. Anydvd just works in the background of your pc and pretty much lets it take off the encryptions in your dvd rather than decrypting them like DVDDecrypter does. DVDShrink is basically the same thing but not updated as much for newer protection. Also Anydvd fixes other problems related to copy protected music discs.

CloneDVD2 is just an all around nicer program in my opinion. People argue that it is only one pass but I say if you get rid of enough crap like previews and subtitles and other usless junk from a movie you can get a VERY good reencoding.

DVDShrink will not allow you to completely delete certain titles within the movie but it will let you replace them with a jpeg which is decent but not what I like. One thing I noticed is that it also lets you downsize the menu, this cannot be done in CloneDVD. I havent explored this option too much yet. But I may use it in conjunction with CloneDVD.

Oh and before I forget, "Little Black Book" problems can be fixed by using the latest ANYDVD beta.
