open command prompt and type this line
"ping 192.168.0.157", where 192.168.0.157 is your xbox IP address. If it says that no data was recieved, it means your PC cannot find your xbox. If you are sure everything is setup crrectly, it may just be your firewall blocking the connection.

Another thing, is that Ive tried the latest FlashFXP with my laptop and I couldnt get connected for some reason. I knew I had everything set up correctly so I said "heck I have Craxtion on here too lemme try that". Craxtion was able to connect no problems where the latest FlashFXP couldnt.
So I reverted back to the same older version of FlashFXP that I have on my PC and that worked no problems. I dont know why but some of the newer versions of FlashFXP may give you problems connecting to your xbox.
Tyler!
i can confirm what tyler said above
i was helping one of my mates who was having a connection problem with his xbox using flashfxp but qwix would connect fine
i sent him the copy of flashfxp i use (over 2 years old hehehehe) and it connected first attempt
strange to say the least

So no one has been able to get this new version of FXP to work?..
Tyler had speculated that it might actually be a preventative measure in reguards to connecting to an xbox. Maybe something that was worked out between MS and FXP makers.. It wouldn't be a surprise.. You know MS pays some lacky just to go out there and read forums and browse webpages to check on what utilities we use.
I dunno.. But on the other hand maybe its just some extra feature they added that conflicts but can be turned off or just a bug.
Someone figure this shizzle out

I don't think it was deliborate. I mean, there are so many ftp programs out there. Someone could even decide to use windows explorer if they wanted to. Putting a protection measure in it would just seem too pointless to even try.
