I was looking on this website and they advertise The original PS2. I guess that means they aren't the new slim ones. Thought you guys may be looking for them. It's in Canada for $115 US here (http://www.hotmp3gear.com/place.htm). The PS2's are almost at the bottom.
The place is called Hot MP3 Gear. But the products are not stolen. They are an official Archos seller in Canada listed on Archos.com. I bought a GMini400 there. Good to deal with.
Just thought you may find that interesting.

Anyone have any input on this? I'm thinking about getting one. I just called 6 video game stores near me and none of them have any original PS2s... :(

Its probably valid. Seems like this site wants to unload all of the older versions to make room for the new slim PS2's. Here is what I have always done, with every video game system since Collecovision (ok maybe I am showing my age there). I always buy a nice brand new one (in box and all instrcutions, etc), then I always manage to pick up one from a pawn shop. When one goes bad, I have another (usually at half the price). This has allowed me to always seem to have spare fans, boards, lasers, etc. In the case of these new crappy Slim PS2's, I have V7 Playstation that I got for Christmas a few years back and I have a version 9 I picked up from the pawn shop. I also have 2 X-boxs, 3 PS1's, a couple N64, 2 Game Cubes,.....the list can go on and on, so I will kick it old school. I even have a couple original NES, and I even found some old Atari 5600 and Atari 7800 at a garage sale. They have no wires to go with so I am currently searching for those. The point is, I always make sure I have ample older models before the manufactores go and "upgrade" their product. If anything, these are probably Version 9's or 10's on the site.

It is a bit odd because they never even had ps2's on there before.Seems like a Christmas special. But I thought it was worth mentioning.

Very tempting, but i only have the money for a CC not for a whole new ps2 and CC.

Yeah money is always an issue... for me anyway. Thats why its an Apple Pro instead of Infinity. Great chip though.
I actually ofund my last ps2 used through Google groups. Always another option. Was lucky and found a V7.

Hmm, I'm having second thoughts now because the filename for the image they have displayed reads: "415006304-h_s_scph-30001_e-1"

Could these be version 1-4? Or maybe the website is just using an old image... ?

EDIT: Turns out they are version 3. I sent an email:

versioin 3

wtf...how can u guys not find the Ps2. Its on gamestop.com how hard is thatIts not hard, its stupid, I know alot of sites that rip people off. For one it says 'Refurbished' which basically means its a used console that worked when last checked. Also, they want a $139  . It says on there site its guaranteed to work so as long as it loads a game your stuck with it. It could be a v3 that sits at the browser screen 45 seconds before it loads. Before i would pay $139.00 on a used piece of crap i may as well as spend 10 more dollars and get a crappy new slim PStwo. At least it will have a 30 day warranty.
