Hey guys!

I was given a 4x DVD +RW disk which I used to burn a DVD movie backup using DVDXCopy platinum. It created the backup just fine however now I can't erase the data and use it again. I tried using Nero 6.6x to perform an erase but the erase button is unavailable (grayed out). I also tried just using DVDXCopy (simple and advance) to just reburn but it does not work.

Did DVDXCopy somehow close the RW disk permanently?

I seriously doubt that. Try another burning program to erase. Come to think of it, are you sure you have an RW? What color is the bottom of the disc.

The color on the bottom is blue/purple and it is marked Mitsubshi 4x DVD +R on the white inner ring but RW on the outer sector. I will download and try another app.

Thanks, I will buy a 'real' RW disk and try it again...wonder why it has a RW mark on the disk?!
