Wireless FTP? What equipment?

I want to FTP to my Xbox via wireless connection. I assume it is possible.

What is the easiest way to do this? What do I need equipment wise?

You need 2 wireless routers that can be bridged together. Not all brands work with each other, so you may want to choose 2 of the same routers. The back of the box will usually say if it can be used as a bridge. The booklet or customer support can help create a bridge if both wireless routers are the same. After they are bridged, you can just plug your xbox in.

Alternatively, you can buy a wireless router and a wireless access point (similar to the official xbox wireless hardware). But, a second wireless router will probably be cheaper.

If I wanted to also share my broadband internet connection w/ my new laptop could I use the router I have connected to my PC or would I need a different router?

If it is wireless, I don't see why not. My laptop is on my home woreless network, however, the bridge between my xbox router and my PC router is not wireless. SO I do not go on xbl wirelessly. (i have on wireless and one non-wireless)

So I could conceieveably use two routers ; one hooked to my Xbox and one hooked to my PC to allow me to do wireless FTP from Xbox as well as share my broadband conection?

I wish I could say. You should go to a comp store and check it out. I didn't see anything about bridging, nor do I see it in that picture. Most routers can, but If you order online with a ruff return policy, that I would make sure. You can probnably read up on that model, put I have to go now so maybe I will post more about it later

Additionally, I would look into the cost of getting 802.11 G transmission speed equipment. Even at this speed, transfers would take a little longer than a direct hardlined connection. SO if you intended on FTP'ing your back-ups, I'd be ready for a longer wait than dragging your XBOX to your computer and plugging in direct... did I make any sense? I'm a little drunk. Could I connect a wireless bridge to the Xbox and a router to my PC?

The wireless adapter MS sells for Xbox Live is a bridge. I am just nore sure if the bridge will give me access to the DVD drive.

I am not sure what you mean by wireless bridge. Like an access point or something? Similar to the official xbox wireless hardware?
