hi all,
i recently replaced my MSI gefore 4 ti4200 card with a Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro w/ 128Mb (256 bits). I am using a system with MSI 648 Max mobo, a 2.4B ghz processor, 2 X 256MB of DDR 333 memory, a samsung syncmaster 753DFX 17' monitor and a 350W power supply. the problem here is that i am currently facing some display issues that involves a flickering image whenever i start up windows. my resolution is 1024 X 768, 32 bits and 85 hz for my display. i have tried various latest drivers (omega and ati drivers), various settings (fastwrite on/off, AGP 4x/8x), but the same problem occurs each time. worse still, the vpu recover thingee from ati's drivers keep on appearing every now and then, saying that my graphic card have failed to respond to the driver! i have tried replacing the card with a new one from the vendor, and re-installing the driver but the problem persists. this problem is extremely irratating and i hunger for a solution. please help me!
