Need Help With Rollercoaster Tycon 3

Hi anyone,someone done me a copy of RCT3 (rollercoaster tycoon3) I have loaded it up onto my pc (I am running XP) & it loaded fine then it came up with the menu so I clicked on play game, then after about ten seconds it came up please insert original copy & not back up,I dont know what to do now, I have the original but its my nephews xmas present thats why I done a copy, just so I could play it as well.
If you can help I am not a whizz on computers but if you explain things in english terms then I should be ok.
