what do i need for a mod chip and software to backup gc games and play them glitch free?

so far, there is only one way to back up your games. that way is the PSO Exploit + ripper.dol

how does pso work? is it only online or can it be used offline?

PSO is a game. Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2, its playable online/offline. Basically, all it does is trick the game into connecting online, while doing so it will run a backing up program. this will allow you to backup your games, not play it ;) to play it, u need to run a loader using the same method.
