LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image

I am not sure if I can ask for help, but I followed the short instructions on

and unfortunately I cannot get the game to work

( just to provide more info: I bought the game, made a fresh install on 2 pcs
( i have kids) run the game on each pc perfectly, then I installed daemon 3.47, enabled all the emulations for copy protection , mounted the mds from
gamecopyworld and received message cd/dvd emulator has been detected , please restart the game it does not matter if I have the original disc in the drive)

Sorry to say but if you dont actually have two purchased copies of the game then it should not be installed onto two PC's! ;) I know this sucks but the law prohibits this!

@ jimmy i think you have clone cd installed and that is in the blacklist remove it and it works or try the No DVD Crack

But its not possible to play longer than 2 or 3 minutes, until my hole base gets destroyed by script (dvd check?) .

It's protection system used before B4ME in RA2 and Generals!
Dor unexploding you must have Identical cd key in encrypted file and in the system registry. Or you must fix some bytes in executable file. I wroted tool for Generals and Zero Hour for fixing unit explode, tool get ip adress of pc and set the cd key in registry and in generals.dat file. If you playing in LAN game with identical keys on many(two<) pc game is showing error massege...

That's the problem.. Same thing happend with C&C generals... You need to install the game (or maybe edit some reg key, I don't know) in order to get it to work as it should

anyway, if you want a simple .dat <-- Id protection

you need to simply create an installer... from lotrbfme setup and remove everything from common_filelist... if you want a simple by pass...

I hope you enjoy your litle post over people.I will try to explain it better, i do have a DVD of the game original and also 100s o many games , the only reason i ask for help o this matter is because i have a ciber and i can not manage for 20 dvd on the disk o each game all going around the ciber (the ussualy get lost ) so i used NO CD , when it is a interesting game i try before i buy licence or the games (also i have a video game shop).I spend so much money over games that the people dont play after a week that i can not aford buy all lot before i try them.
I dont Know another way to do it , do you ?
So before getting over people you may thing before that it is posible that we are not little people spending our time over kaaaaazzzzaaaaas likes to save money or beeing greedy or just to big to go out the door.

It least you can hear that a no-cd crack is not functional right here, so what can we do? We can't do anything becuase everyone have tried everything. And it's kind of stupid to discus a sulution when no one knows the answer or can come up with a bright idea!
Why don't use no-cd crack for other 100 games and use the original for this becuase the crack dosen't work.

GCW and most of the fileforums members don't make cracks. The real big groups make them and there are NOT members here, why? becuase they don't wanna be more public then there already are.

Yes this is a support forum for cracks, but if the crack is wrong for everybody, we can't do a **** about that. If the crack functional for everyone except a few people we might figure it out how to solve that problem.

Battle of Middle-earth have problems, PROBLEM noted and we can't deal with it before we find anysulution, so MY suggestion is everyone stay cool, do NOT reply before they have anything 'bright'/sultuion to write! THE EXPLOSION IS CAUSED by simply Copying every file from pc to another pc...

the protection <LOTRBFMe.dat> is checked by the main exe and compare with the machine ID. if not the same.. BOOM! :)

you actually need to run the setup file from the original ea installation...

if you want a simple fix.. you need to make a setup (installation) for your self...a tiny one if you want A CD Version....

People tend to copy paste file from pc to another pc... LOTRBFME doesnt allow it...

you need the installation file...

If you want a mini-setup ..

create one..

edit commonfile and remove everything from compressed.zip ...

I successfully created a DVD to CD convert using ea's SETUP.. just trick the installer...

example: edit common_filelist.txt
decompress all files from compressed.zip
and zip them again in 650 mb seperate all files
add everything per cd...

you just need to make sure you end up at disc 1 during the final installation to gain the .dat

be creative in making the compressed.zip

never forget, you need all the files from the original dvd... you should not miss one... you can add though... If you want to add the no/cd fixed... you can add a line...

maybe someone here can elaborate this.. I can't explain it well.. though I created a successful dvd to cd.... with working no cd... + protection id... I am not good at explaining in text :p

After following along with the tutorials, reading the manuals, and configuring the game for opt. performance on my system, I settled in for a nice LONG gaming session...but... Five min. into the game. "YOU HAVE BEEN DEFEATED"

I promptly contacted EA games support, and was given a copy of what I'm assuming is a standard "reply letter" to anyone who complains, pretty much a WORD-FOR-WORD copy of whats in the "trouble-Shooting" section of the manual.

About 20 e-mails later, I'm STILL not able to play, and recieving NO help from EA, of course Best Buy wont take the game back (opened) and I'm finding little or NO help on the net.

Re-installing, or running the "setup" prog. makes no difference. Just so everyone knows, this problem is NOT restricted to users that may, or may NOT have obtained thier copy of the game "officialy", As I have been in touch with 3 other RETAIL VERSION owners, who are encountering the same snag.

It's sad when you spend a nice CHUNK of cash (which could have been spent on BEER! :) ) on a game, then have to resort to "back-door tactics" just to play it.

ALRIGHT!!!!

I FINALY got some real help from the "EA Support" team.

I was told to run the "autorun", then select "install"... (Even though the game was already installed) after a few seconds, rather than asking for a cd key, or going through any of the setup process, the game simply started up.

Perhaps this forced the game to re-run the "setup.exe" file, spawning a new ".dat" file...? no idea, seemed too simple.

But, for the last hour or so, I've been playing just fine, no "exploding" units, or instant "DEFEAT". :)

One bit of help I WAS able to squeeeeeze out of the tech guy was that "supposidly" the security check that causes the crash on "burned" copies of the game only takes effect once, in the first 5 min of ACT 1. So, in theory, loading in someones SAVED game, that begins on ACT 2, will bypass this entirely. Not sure where the saved games are stored, didn't bother to check (since mine is now working). But trust me when I say you realy WONT be missing much by starting in ACT 2. (Unless of course you REALY enjoy chopping wood... :P)

Sorry my advice isn't as interesting as "edit this, delete that...etc etc..."
Someone give that "saved game" thing a try... let me know, and I'll post my saved games on "ARES"

Those of you who are struggling to get the game running... stick with it, it's well worth it.

Just got this game, but it wouldnt install on my main pc. Always got some error saying 'läsmig.txt' could not be copied. So I tried installing on my laptop, works great! But I really dont want to play the game at 800x600 in very low detail (Intel Extreme Graphics 'card'). Thus I copied the game to my main pc, but indeed, the buildings explode after 5 minutes -_-.

But one thing how to use the thing ? Just put it like this ? TripleCDKeyFixer_eng_ui.exe -advance and then press the "change key" button and it says cd key and lotrbfme.dat has been changed (which is kinda surprising because I dont even have the game) :D PS: Helping my "friend" out.

I have the following problem.. I downloaded your tool, but somehow it isnt able to set the installation path of BFME. When running in normal mode, it says 'cd-key has been changed and lotrbfme.dat altered' , but when in advanced mode, it first couldnt find the installation. Which was right, I had deleted all the registry entrys :D

But after adding them, it is able to change the cd-key correctly, but it isnt able to detect the installation folder 'Installpath *something* is the error I get when I click 'OK' after selecting the folder...

do you have any idea what I'm forgetting or doing wrong?
