Is the Duo2 SE a 3.3v or 5v chip? I'm installing one in a V7 and I would prefer to take power from the Matrix Infinity V7 power point if the chip uses a 3.3v power source (quicker to solder to a pad afterall). If it's 5v, then I'll just have to take it from where the diagrams say. Thanks a lot... LUFCfan :)

Check the points with a multimeter.

Is there a definative answer to this, because I can't check the points atm... (Not at home).

So, does anyone have any Alt. points for power on a V7 board for a Duo2 SE then? Thanks a lot... LUFCfan :)

Have you considered searching Shadowknights installs? He tends to use his own points. Maybe he used a different power point in one of them.

think its a 3.3v power cable on the duos as most new chips use this, the only chip i have ever heard of using a 5v supply is the magic 3 (yuck) any way if the chip is under powered then the game will not boot so you will know "she needs more power captin" :)
hope this helps

Thanks a lot. I've had a few messages saying they're 5v = so any points for 5v power on a V7? Thanks a lot in advance...

I use the PS4 fuse m8, right next the point on the diagram but mucho bigger.

OK - I used the one from the Magic III diagram. However, I now boot up to discover only originals work and no backup games work whatsoever. I can't tell what I've done wrong - I have no bridges and everything seems OK - any wires I need to check guys? I'm gonna check the BIOS ones now - anymore?..

Me and Duo2s never get on. Matrix Infinitys are great everytime, but Duos - nah - they never work for me ;)

The B wire is a common mistake m8, you'd be amazed how many peeps (including me) fit it to the wrong point & also make sure you fit the Z. Daft as it sounds these lil things..........................

They seem to be in the right places m8. I'm thinking it's easier to completely rip out and restart...

Defo m8, you spend hours searching for a fault but 40 mins to reinstall!

OK - I don't see what i've done wrong. I have replaced EVERY wire (again) and still absolutely nothing. Could it be a chip problem???

Of course you can have a bad chip m8 but lots of peeps suspect the chip, try fitting it in another version & if you get the same response return it to your supplier (assumin you used a reputable source of course).

Yep - tried in another console and get the same results... Seems it's the chip.
