Problems Backing up! Need For Speed Undg 2

Hi all to all the gurus out there !

Im having a few problems. I want to back up a PAL UK VER of Need For Speed Underground 2. I have backed up many games in the past without any problems and they all work fine.

I use RecordNow Max v4.5 on minimum read and write speeds with quality Infinity DVD-R 2X Ritek media on my ps2 which is SCPH 30003 (Ver 4 I believe) with the first orginal messiah chip to come out. I have played many games without problems and this is my first DVD coaster !!! which im not happy about.

Anyhow Need for speed boots up, the intros work fine then it FREEZES when you want to play the game in any mode.
Does anyone now why ?
Can anyone help me resolve this problem ?
Does anyone have UK PAL VER on a backup that works perfect ?
Anyone HELP ?

mine works perfect now i got a new chip but had same prob when i had a neo 2.2 chip in mate

Nah. Neo sucz in a big way. Messiah is v.good basic boot chip so he ain't gonna get same probs as wiv the neo ps2 killa.

as ur media is good y=there is some basic things to consider....

1. ur ps2 is gettin a bit old so....Laser Fatigue???

2. r u burnin the dvd's wiv ur computer in an idle state (i.e no surfin the net etc whil burnin goin on??)
