Just bought HDLoader *PROBLEMS*

I bought HD loader and maxtor 120GB HD from http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/customer/product.php?productid=1927&cat=&page=1

I put the hard drive in and it keeps saying disc read error. It just won't read, yes my serial number is an NTSC and I have a network adaptor. I took my Ps2 apart cleaned the lens and no work. I even tried the HDLoader in another Ps2 of mine and same problem. Any Ideas?

Does the disc look legit? Also is there a pamphlet or something in the DVD case? I'm just curious to see if you got a legit copy of HDL. It might be a bad copy or even worse.... a bad copy of ps2ownz's "HDL" ;) Some places are selling bootlegs or HDA as HDL.....

Is the bottom of the disc silver?? Consolesource has been selling the PS2ownz rip, just wondering if they sold you a cdr or a pressed original.

I bought mine from consolesource and it is silver on the bottom. It works in my PS2 most of the time (My PS2 Sucks) and it did come with a manual.

Mine did not work at first until I cleaned my lens, now sometimes it doesnt work and I need to go to the memory card screen, load an original disc, then eject that and put in the HD loader disc.
