Are you using latest versions ? Anydvd 4.1.0.1 and CloneDVD 2.5.3.3 ?

You should also try DVDDecrypter.

Maybe the disc is damaged or it contains a new version of the ARCCOS protection....

Yup ol' Mr. Burns' got it. Im kinda leaning towards bad original. I think that movie was a bit earlier than the first complaints of the new protection.

HI Everyone

Unfortunatly I have the same problem as SPEEDKING had.
And I tried to do what you suggested ..... nothing helped. :(

I installed CloneDVD 2.5.3.3 - same problem. ( Details : IFOFomat 22 )
Tried DVD Decryptor - "Automatic File System Parsing Failed"

What I have as a source : I coped all files ( VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS) onto hard drive and now want to make a DVD with Clone DVD.
I've done it many times with other movies, the same way, the same CloneDVD..... now is something different and not good.

Could you please help me here
Thanks

Have you tried latest anydvd version ? They implemented some new "Anti-ARCooS" routines !

I am having the same problem as speedking and person 747. I have been making backups for months with no problem - now this. Does anyone have any ideas ?? I am using most recent Clonedvd and Anydvd. I have been working with The Santa Claus, Terminal and Elf. Please have pity on me - I am so frustrated. :(

Try using DVDDecrypter with Anydvd disabled to rip the particular movies to your hdd. Then use CloneDVD2 to rip them. If is AARCOS or whatever that "protection" is called then that should fix it.

So sorry - I guess I am having a blonde day - I posted and then came back to the computer later and clicked the "submit reply" button again. I have done the first step now - the DVD Decrypter to hdd and am getting ready to use the clone cd.

Yeah it just seemed wierd that you posted the same reply twice. Let us know how you get through. But it seems alright so far since youve already got it on your hdd.

I was so hopeful and left it running overnight. But no, same error - it runs all the way through Creating DVD files and then bombs on the writing. Gives the error -

unexpected error
writing stopped - please be sure all input files are available and that they represent a properly mastered dvd

Another stupid question, but each time this happens, is that dvd in the writer ruined ?? I have been starting with a new one each time. My dvd's are the same as I have always used - Verbatim DVD+R , so I assume that is not the issue.

Do you think this process is worth repeating with Elf - this time I worked with Terminal.

I have backed up all three movies you are talking about with no problems with AnyDvd and CloneDvd2. If problem persist you might try reinstalling them. I did have that problem once.

Ok it seems that CloneDVD2 doesnt write well. Just use it to make folders and use a different writing program to burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders as a data burn. That should fix your problems.

Tyler, just wondering if you have also had problems with writing with CloneDvd2. I am in the process of sending some Ritek media back because I cant get any good writes. Just wondering if it might have some to do with CloneDvd2 also. But then again when I use Maxell media I dont get the problem, that I have noticed.
Just wondering?

I usually do the folders anyway. I use to do the ISO's but it seem to take a little longer and I did'nt really need to. Also, care if I ask you what you are writing them with.
Thanks

I believe my issue has been resolved - I got the most recent program files again and uninstalled and reinstalled. I have successfully backed up The Santa Clause now and am moving on to the other two. Maybe something just got goofed up on my machine - I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the help. I am also glad to have learned other ways around Clone when I have these issues. It was just such a frustrating situation - thanks again.

@DPG Terik
I use a Pioneer AO7. Works fine with me most of the time.

@stephanie0710
Glad to have helped ya. Be sure to try out these other methods when you have a problem.

I just downloaded the latest version of clonedvd 2.6.1.3 to see if the issue was resolved. I have narrowed the issue down to a driver problem with nforce 2 mb. If I installed the latest nforce 5.10 drivers and installing the enhanced nforce IDE drivers with it, clonedvd doesn't recognize the dvd in the drive (lite-on ldw-411s) . Revert back to installing the enhanced nforce IDE drivers from the 4.27 driver package and your problems should be resolved.
