how do i copy my patch into the directory

i am tryin to get the no cd patch for NFSU2 but i donnow how to do it, i use disk 2 right? and it says speed 2 but how can i replace that i cant drag the patch into it cuz it had the circle witht he dash thru it thing someone help its pissin me off i cant play tha game w/o it sayin no cd rom found.. a friend burned them off and he had tha patch but he didnt know where the site was he got it from

he has a burned copy as well i jus need the patch and when i did get a patch it was rar and im not good wit rar files...
