View Full Version : nec 3500a read/write problem
i recently bought a nec 3500a driver and am using dvd shrink and nero. my problem is that this is is 16x read drive and it is only reading at 2x at most. what can i do to fix this problem
specs:
win 2000.
2.8ghz
1gig ram
80 gig harddrive

Yeah, that is due to the riplock of this drive. Have a look here (http://www.micheldeboer.nl/firmware/) to get some "help" !
i am trying to rip an original dvd but it only wants to read it at 1x it will write good be when in the reading process it only read it at 1x can anyone help please. thanks
Did you even read the replies? Update your firmware!
i did update the firmware but that didn't work. unless i got the wrong firmware. i updated from the nec site the v2.17. is their something else i should do. i know that you guys are the best please im going crazy

Yeah only "Hacked" firmware will allow you to use rip dvd's hella faster.
