Hiya, I'm having alot of trouble with trying to run Sims 2. Every time I try to run the game it keeps telling me the it detects a CD/DVD emulator and tells me to disable it and restart. I've done what it told me to do and even unistalled it and restarted the machine several times and it still keeps promting me to disable the emulator. I've then tried several of the GCW no CD emulator fixes and it still continues to prompt me to disable the emulator. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem??

I am using the 4 CD's international version (Legit copies)

Thank you for the help but after reading through the links, and trying to fiddle around with a few of the named software, it still didn't quite help and I still continue to get the emulation detected. some of the software I use are quite old and the methods which the site shows on how to shut it off doesn't quite work for me. Is there any other ways around this??

The items I suspect are:

Nero express 5.5
CloneCD 4.0.0.0
Daemon tools 3.47

Any helps will be appreciated

Nero should be safe to leave alone, (I think)! CloneCD tho will definately give you problems to do with emulation messages and I dont use Daemon Tools! I prefer NoCD cracks over mounting images! ;)
