View Full Version : CloneDvd2 Error Message Can't Burn..HELP!

for some reason i am unable to burn my movies using CloneDvd2 everytime i try i get this error message :

writing to media was not successful
unexpected error

please be sure that all input files are available & that they represent
a properly mastered dvd

if u are confident that this error should not happen
please check for a newer version of CloneDvd2

if error persists, please send the following information
to [email protected]

1-the current log (use right mouse button in the log window to save it)
2-(optional) the title & region code of the source dvd
3-(optional) the IFO files of the source dvd

i'm using a Maddog 16x burner, Fujifilm -R 8x media, latest versions of Clonedvd2 & Anydvd i've tried using alcohol 120, nero6, dvd shrink, powerdvd copy and nothing works i just keep messing up my disks

can someone out there please help i've been trying to fix this problem for days

Hello, I hope its not too late to respond to your question. Most of the time that is the result of just poorly structure disks or I guess you can say, overly protected? I'd rather settle with the fact that they aren't made as the rest of the industry standard DVDs. I had this problem with Resident Evil Apocalypse. What you want to do is get the program VobBlanker and rip the folders to your pc. Then from there you can redirect CloneDVD2 to that folder that you just ripped and TADA! That should work.
