Hey whats up. Im new to the forum and burning ps2 games, but i had a mod chip in my ps2: neokey (good figure). I was planning on removing that one (lost the usb chip) and adding a magic 3.1 to it (seen them cheap for 18$). I was also looking at buying a Sony DW-D22A (16x -r, 2.4x DL), is that a good choice? also, whats the best media to buy, and what speed should I burn at? I was hoping to buy the disk online since theyre usually cheaper. Also would the disk you recommend also be good for burning dvd movies? thanks alot for helpin a noob

also, whats a good Dual layer media. and are there many DL games?

Dont get a Magic3.1!!!

For a good reliable chip thats hella cheap get yourself a Duo2 SE only about $20.

I would wait for 2nd gen dl burners to come out. Its what I would do. ;)

As for movies check out DVD section.

Its also a good idea to look at our Rules. We encourage strongly against piracy so check the rules out so you dont get us in trouble.

If you can't wait for a burner, I have a Liteon 832S and I think it's fantastic. The Plextor is also very good, but knowing Plextor, it'll cost the bloody earth

Plextor are expensive for a reason... I'll say no more on that, but I think it's pretty obvious why (think Quality).

As for Verbatim DVD-R? I wouldn't...
