MS dashboard problem

Hey!
I got a serius problem, and I dont know how to fix it.
I modded my Xbox with SmartXX v2 and its installed correctly.
I installed Evox dashboard correctly and correct .ini file.
I renamed my original dashboard to msxboxdash.xbe and set the ini to that file.
Yet, it worked the other day (2 days ago) and then yesterday, it gives me error 21...
I checked down in the xbox, no problems there as I can see :|

I dont know what to do :'(


I can launch a few games though, trough Launch DVD in Evox. But I want my xbox to be fully operational :)

pin header install?
if so recheck chip.IF not still do.
also noticed with my smartxx for some reason had issues with evox dash (not error codes though) I use Avalaunch and have no problems.
Also as i mentioned in one of your other posts to flash "ED on chip" gives FTP access through smartxx screen just in case you need to revert back to original dash .

also, i just wanted to mention that you should never have to rename the original xbox dashboard. If the bios doesn't look for evoxdash.xbe, then edit them to. It would help eliminate the dashboard error.

#2 The chip seems to be correct installed, chip runs fine!

Just to mention, I have replaced the original dashboard, but I try to set it back but no help :(

Okay, I edited the evox dashboard to evoxdash.xbe and the original dashboard to xboxdash.xbe.
Did not help. It launches Evox as you told it should do, but, ms dashboard still gives me the error 21. :(

But now I can also play the SW Battlefront Demo :cool:

If it fails to launch the xboxdash.xbe, then a file is missing or has become corrupt. You will have to replace the dashboard.

Have you even read what I wrote? Its not the evox dash that gives me problems, its the original dashboard..

Isn't there some issue (if the dash.xbe's have been renamed) where the XBLIVE games try to update them?

btw, re-read what I wrote. The "xboxdash.xbe" IS the ms dashboard. I said nothing even related to evox.

Is there a way to try getting a new xboxdash.xbe? (the original)
Could be corrupt, but I dont know how it should have become that. If it is, my only thought could be that DVDX2 has corrupted it, it was soon after i used that app it ****ed up :(

when u first started playing the star wars battlefront demo it updated your original dash files (or should of) it sounds like it went wrong.
now like all clever people u have a complete backup of your xbox c and e drive to restore with right??
if not then you should of lol
