I might be wrong, but wasn't the official release date for PSTwo slated for November 2? Strategically or otherwise a week before Halo 2?

Fry's Electronics, Santa Clara, CA had them on the shelf already! If I'm just making big noise for nothing, I apologize. I'm already set up with my PS2, but I have to admit, the PSTwo looks alright (I thought it was pretty fugly at first, but it's okay looking...)

Actually I have bought the new ps2 for a little over a week. There were quite a lot of them at my local Walmart. From the outside of the box pics it doesn't look that small but when you see the real thing it really is. It is about the size of a version 7 motherboard, as thick as half the size of the top half of the ps2 case(version 7 again). Oh and it cannot stand on its side anymore without buying a support for it because it is so thin. Also it is now a flip top case. Eject and power/reset button is now separated.

Picked one up myself this morning from Target. It is good to have a ps2 again.

You really do have to see one of these things in person. It is insane how small it is.
