Just tested it with the VMODE on a PAL import game and it displayed correctly on my NTSC system. Looks like we can say goodbye to PAL/NTSC patching now!
Hi, just finishing updating to the 1.3. The docs say HDD Browser and HDD Tools support, does this refer to the official Sony utils that come with the FF/HDD package?
Also, would these utils actually allow me to "browse" what's on my HDD(120GB Seagate Barracuda) and install or delete files/progs,eliminating the need for HD Loader? Would I have to reformat my drive with HDD Tools?
So many questions LOL. Thanks for your help in advance.
Btw John, the Infinity is awesome. Everything works every time. Thanks again.

from what i understand you need to install the browser softwear that comes on the $ony utility disc with the official hdds

I'm assuming what they mean by HDD browser and HDD tools support is that they are going to soon be releasing a applications that will allow you to browse the HDD and tools for formating the HDD and what not like the DMS3 team has.
These apps might allow you to delete and edit the files or folders but I highly doubt it will eliminate the need for HDloader.

Yeah, just re-read the docs and it's kinda' unclear whether they mean Sony official HDD Browser and Tools or if they intend to release their own as you suggested like the DMS3. Or maybe it's both??? I guess I'll just wait & see.
Two features I'd love to see for PS2 would be the equivalent of an Evox dashboard that autoboots from the bios and a prog like DVD2XBOX to transfer games to HDD that the Xbox has.
