i don´t know which copy protection restricted area uses, i think it´s securom but i´m not sure though, for a crack you´ll just have to wait, ´cause the game is not out that long...so just take your time...and moment of silence is STARFORCE protected, no chance to make a working image or something, and a crack, it´s starforce so there´s gonna be one "someday" or not, one things for sure, it´s gonna take a huge amount of time, if there ever will be a crack!so you´ll just have to wait!
first, sorry for bad english...
I think the game has just a API GetDriveType procedure. I worked with some tuts. It were my first try, but don't work like i hope :D ...
In the german RA Forum some people say that this is a simple protection.
Think a better cracker will it done in a few minutes, if he find some time...

edit: i wanna use alcohol, but the DVD is over 6 GB and on it are many many many bad sectors (i read elsewhere, over 7000), i stopped the Backup after four hours rofl.

A-Ray Scanner says StarForce Protection .. if i see StarForce, i think we will never get a crack or we get it in a few month :P

ok.. the a-ray scanner sayes to everey cd that there is a starforce protection.. forgett the starforce lol...
i try it with tutorials, but in the tutorials there is one jump after the GetDrive and there is "cmp eax, 00000001" .. in the RA.exe are 2 Jumps to the same point and beetween is a "cmp eax, 00000005"...
For a beginner is strange that.... mhh.. hope this infos in the right forum.
be cool if someone can help me.. but use easy english im german :D

if you have a good dvd rom then put the dvd in the dvd rom click "skip bad sektors" and go sleeping. when you are waking up the image is done. when not the image is done when you are back from your work.
it has over 5gb bad sektors
the resulting image is 6,7 gb big

Hallo all
1.copy all the file from your DVD per D & D on your HD.
2.Make a image with Nero or other one you like.
3.Install the game from hd or image(with emu software).
4 make a new small image with mini image record(mir)
5.Play and have fun great game

what? are you using mir for moment of silence? mir is a tool for safedisc games, it makes an image just of the copy protection, so you don´t have to turn on any emulation, mounting the image is enough! but doesn´t, hell no!, work with starforce( that would be ****ing great though!) or did i just understand something wrong here...

hope for the patched version. RA is one of the most buged games ever *hmpf* :mad:
If you want a Backup , use Clone CD V5 newest Version,
it may take a half night, but the image will run.
BTW there will be no no CD Crack for the following reason :
The game Disc is about 6,7 Gigs of SPace but installs only 2,2 Gigs, this means to me that Files are taken from the DIsc.(Maybe only a illegal TOC)

nocd is possible, the game dont need the dvd.. test it, start the game with the dvd and then take the dvd out of the dvddrive. The game works.. with all animations etc.
(good for multiplayer, just start the game with dvd, the switch the dvd to the other player, who start it.. start a networkgame and enjoy)

Also, "The Moment of Silence": Einfach Demo saugen. Installieren. Dann die "mos.exe" und "mossfl.dll" im vollversions-installations-verzeichnis ersetzen. (natürlich vollinstallation!). Mos.exe starten. Fertig.
Starforce 3 umgangen. von wegen schwer zu cracken ;-).

Is the exe and dll of the demo also starforce protected (starforce pop-up at start), do you need the DVD at startup of the game, when you replace the files?
And if it really works, please send the files to gamecopyworld.

its works the two files are 10 mb great.
i think this is too much for gcw, they have traffic problems a this time with the other cracks.
use www.google.de an search for "the moment of silence demo"
load the 150 mb demo install it and you have the exe

IT WORKS
The Demo ends with the Arrival at your office.
in the fullgame you can into the office
I copy my savegame where i am in the office and run tmos.exe in the demo folder - the autoload brings me to brooklyn.
I open the load save menü "no entrys"
i start tmos from my fullgame folder
the autoload brings me inside the office where i have saved i open my load save menü and find my load entry "büro".
so i think its work.

in the fullgame - full install i am in mannhattan.

are the starforce drivers installed on your system?
If yes, then what happens when you delete them with the starforcecleaner?
Do the replaced files want to reinstall starforce with the need of restarting the pc?
the starforce drivers are on my system i was tooo lazy to deinstall they ;)
but i do not need to unplug my ide drives und the starforce popup only pop when ich start with the not demo exe.

you need the files from the demo of the game
the mos.exe and the mossfl.dll
copy to install folder it works ...it worls big big smile
works in german version in english version i dont know

sorry my post description has a mistake
Install the game - Full Installation.
Replace the original MOS.EXE & MOSSFL.DLL files with the ones from the File Archive.
Execute MOS.EXE to play the Game!
this was the files from the demoversion

Hi there!
I don't know if I am just too stupid, but none of the NoDVD-patches for "The Moment of Silence" I found work for me. If I start Mos.exe, a window of StarForce will appear which wants me to restart my computer in order to complete the StarForce installation. That's not really what I want to do.
If I start the moslauncher.exe and I click on "Start the game with crack", nothing will happen.
Does anybody have an idea, can anybody help me or teach me something I am just too dumb for?
