StarCraft Brood War installation

I copied the INSTALL.EXE from brood war cd to my original StarCraft folder

it keeps on asking for the full version of starcraft in be installed (Which I did, from the original cd) so that didn't work so I tried this

well that didn't work too, because thats where I have installed starcraft and have copied the INSTALL.EXE from Brood War cd and also backed up the copy for StarCraft

what am I doing wrong?

I have StarCraft 1.11b with loader, but haven't installed StarCraft Brood War..

the loader should work for sc as well as for broodwar... it changes things in registry automatically, u don't have to touch anything there...
just install starcraft, and copy the big file from the cd (install or setup .exe, i forgot) into your sc-folder
if it doesn't doesn#t work, try apply the 1.11b patch and run the loader then...
pls let me know if the problem is, that my loader doesn't run with 1.0... i'll fix it then
