View Full Version : Kohan 2: No-cd cracks gives Runtime error and game won't start

Every time I try to start the game using the no-cd cracks posted here and elsewhere (all the same cracks), I get the following error msg:

Runtime Error! Program c:games\kohan ii kings of war\k2.exe
R6016 - not enough space for thread data

Could this problem be related to my having Win98SE? The game runs fine with the original k2.exe and the CD in the drive. However, it won't run at all with the cracked k2, whether the CD is in the drive or not.

If it's a Win98SE problem, does anybody know of a work-around or a crack for Kohan 2 that will run under this OS? Thanks.

Tryied this (http://spacetarget.com/games/pc_kohan_2.shtml)?
Use the money Proper fixed exe. The first crack was triggers in it. And got nuked, this one isn't nuked.

I've tried both the original fix and the "proper" fix. Same result with both.

The Timegate tech support forum shows this error as a known bug for many Win98SE users using the original executable. Apparently, the "Money" no-cd fix triggers this bug for many of us Win98SE users that don't otherwise experience this bug when using the CD and original exe file. If this bug is fixed with the first patch, then, hopefully, the next no-cd fix won't cause this problem.
